Models: Modeling the Disco Differences inventory for our website & social media is a fun social activity and volunteer opportunity! We have a variety of sizes and styles, as well as women, men, and gender-nonconforming options so each model can choose items to be photographed in that make them feel happy! This is a social event where decision-making, communication, and self-advocacy skills will be practiced! We value inclusivity, and we want YOU to be one of the many faces of this company! Your comfort and safety are priorities - models will have a private place to change clothes or have the option to put inventory over the clothes worn to the shoot. All clothes are pre-washed and clean! All clothing items worn for pictures to be returned to Disco Differences inventory for sale.

Thrifters: Thrifting is a volunteer opportunity at this time. It will provide individuals with community-based integration opportunities. This opportunity will aim to practice social, communication, functional, and vocational skills by going into the community to engage in sourcing inventory for the shop. Evidence-based practices will be used for each volunteer to support them in sourcing items that meet the criteria of our shop while simultaneously providing an opportunity to exhibit informed decision-making skills and budgeting. The company is responsible for payment of all items chosen at the end of the event.

Pop-Up Volunteers: Disco Differences will hold pop-up events in Raleigh, Durham, and Charlotte North Carolina. Volunteer tasks may include, but are not limited to: organizing items/clothes, greeting customers, passing out flyers/brochures, tagging items, and using the POS system to check out guests. Before the date, Megan and/or Emily will collaborate and discuss roles with each volunteer. Evidence-based practices will be used for each volunteer to support them during the experience.
