This will be a one-on-one vocational volunteer opportunity. Megan Snow MS, CCC-SLP will be providing support across the entire experience, which will last approximately an hour and a half, with the first 30 min. being on the bench outside of the store reviewing/discussing what to expect, strategies, and ideas for sourcing, communicating with others, etc. If a parent or caregiver wishes to attend as well, that is perfectly fine! Please just let us know in advance.

Thrifting experiences provide individuals with opportunities to utilize social, communication, and vocational skills by going into the community to engage in sourcing inventory for the shop. Visual supports can be provided, which will assist the individual in sourcing items that meet the criteria of our shop while simultaneously providing an opportunity to exhibit informed decision-making skills and budgeting. This opportunity is available for only 1 individual, so please let us know as soon as possible if you are interested!
